As the principal attorney at Whitewood Law PLLC, Mr. Mu focuses on trademark and copyright litigations. Mr. Mu has​ extensive experience in legal consulting with clients and is dedicated to providing practical strategies and legal techniques to protect his clients’ intellectual property.  

Helping clients from different industries with the protection and enforcement of their intellectual property rights has always been Mr. Mu’s primary goal in his career. Toward this end, Mr. Mu has successfully handled various intellectual property disputes, as he represented a broad range of companies. Mr. Mu provides services including advising on early-stage technology through enforcement of IP rights, patent inter partes reviews, trademark portfolios management, trademark opposition proceedings, online counterfeiting and infringement, patent and trademark litigation, anti-counterfeiting matters, and Internet & domain name disputes, as well as preparing opinions on infringement, invalidity, and due diligence. Mr. Mu has an impressive track record in ligation: he has successfully served as a lead counsel in patent cases in multiple Federal District Courts throughout the United States; he has also defended clients from seven-figure damage claims in litigation. Meanwhile, Mr. Mu has conducted many successful appeals to the Board of Patent Appeals and Inferences, prepared ex-parte and inter parte re-examination proceedings, and won various trademark appeals and oppositions for his clients.  

Mr. Mu’s clients who face intellectual property infringement allegations have always spoken highly of Mr. Mu’s experience and professionality in negotiation, licensing, and litigation when necessary. To facilitate his understanding of the legal field he practices, Mr. Mu has developed a wide range of technological experience, including experience in augmented reality (AR) gaming systems, biomedical devices, pharmaceutical compounds, mechanical tools, robotic devices, and telecommunication devices. In addition, Mr. Mu has also worked for tech start-ups in the bay area on patent counseling.
